A Doença de Alzheimer é uma doença que se caracteriza por ser neurodegenerativa,e tem como consequências a diminuição da memória, dificuldade de raciocínio e de pensamento.
Quanto à saúde bucal dos pacientes,características básicas como pobre higiene bucal ,consequente aumento da prevalência de doenças periodontais e cárie são os principais sintomas.

O Bruxismo é outro sintoma recorrente,devido ao descontrole muscular característico da doença!

Cabe ao profissional,no caso Dentista entender/estudar um pouco sobre os problemas destas doenças e na medida do possível minimizar ao máximo os transtornos bucais causados.
